STUNNING Lucy Kerr was crowned the new Miss Scotland 2016 at tonight’s spectacular final in Glasgow.
The nation’s new sweetheart student Lucy, 19, from Bearsden, Glasgow will now travel to Miss World to represent Scotland in Washington DC later this year.
The beautiful redhead said: “I am so happy. It’s been such an amazing experience. All the girls were wonderful. I am so excited to represent Scotland at Miss World.”
The beauty beat 12 other contestants to the Miss Scotland crown at the glittering VIP event in Glasgow’s Radisson Blu Hotel.
Runner up was student Katy MacGlinchey, 23, from Cumbernauld and second runner up was 21-year-old student Keryn Matthew, from Edinburgh.
Miss Scotland 2015 Mhairi Fergusson, 23, was joined on the judging panel by headline sponsor QTS boss Alan McLeish, Fake Bake tanning queen Sandra McClumpha, Scottish Sun Editor Alan Muir and reigning Mr Scotland Tristan Cameron Harper.
Janis Sue Smith, managing director of Miss Scotland organisers The Catwalk Academy, said: “I’m delighted for Lucy. Our first red headed Miss Scotland in 18 years. She will be an amazing ambassador for the country and a fantastic Miss Scotland.”
